“I am a business strategist in my mid-twenties and have experienced severe chronic pain for over five years, which has inhibited my ability to work and function on a day-to-day basis. and saved me a bunch of money.”“All I can say is WOW! I had never really had any experience or faith in acupuncture until I sprained my ankle. One day I sprained my ankle. I’ve had bad sprains like this before where I couldn’t even touch my foot to the ground. Usually at least 2.5 months to heal. I called Radiya CRYING because I had 2 weddings to photograph the next day. Radiya encouraged me to come in so I arrived on crutches with some small hopes of reducing the swelling a little. To my utmost surprise, Radiya spent over an hour with me, kept her clinic open late (just for me!), put needles in my WRIST and herbs on my ankle. Results? I have been going to acupuncture for over six years in San Francisco, Davis, and Santa Rosa for various conditions ranging from infertility to chronic pain. I recently moved back to Santa Rosa from Davis and went to Radiya for reoccurring pain. Since the birth of my son over a year ago, I have suffered with chronic numbness and pain in my arm. The pain would keep me up all night, not allowing me to get a good night’s sleep. I had been going to an acupuncturist in Davis before I moved here and would have to return once a week to keep the pain away. After just one visit with Radiya my pain was gone and didn’t return for almost 3 weeks! She was very warm, attentive, and made me feel comfortable. “The night of my visit with Radiya, my baby [in breech position] flipped!”
I came to Radiya in my 8th-9th month of pregnancy with my baby in a breach position. I was terrified. I had planned for a home birth and the doctors told me that my only option was to have a scheduled cecarean delivery. They informed me that there was nothing I could do on my own except to try a Version, which can be extremely stressful on the baby and can result in an emergency cecarean anyway!
My midwife referred me to Radiya. Thank God!
Radiya did a little acupuncture and a Moxibustion treatment on me. Almost immediately after she’d started the acupuncture my baby began moving around in a very happy way. I could tell that he/she was enjoying it. Radiya had asked me a little while into it to tell her when the baby starts reacting and I informed her that it had been moving from the second she started! She then did the Moxi treatment of which the baby seemed to settle down a little but still remained active. My entire experience w/Radiya I felt at ease and completely relaxed, to say the least. There were times when just listening to the soothing way she spoke gave me chills. I wanted this relaxing feeling to last!
She sent me home with the rest of the Moxi stick to continue the treatments at home with my husband. She also gave me advice for a breathing technique, of which I practiced daily and nightly and still do. It helped tremendously because I’d been getting a lot of anxiety in those last few weeks.
Well, THAT night of my visit w/Radiya the baby flipped; I am convinced of it. I was 35/36 weeks so everyone had told me that when it happened i’d feel it and I did!
I still continued w/the Moxi treatments as per Radiya’s advice; (it’s purpose was to focus the energy down so even when the baby flipped it would only help to encourage he/she to stay down).
I was right, because a few days later I had an ultrasound that showed me the baby had moved to the awesome headdown position! I cried! LOL
In conclusion, I am absolutely conviced that my visit with Radiya at Abundance Acupuncture helped me to become and stay more in tune and connected w/my baby. In order for she and I to ensure her safe travels into her new world.
I look forward to another visit with Radiya in the (hopefully near) future….just because.

“I definitely recommend her to anyone with pregnancy symptoms,
even just the little ones!”When I was about 7 weeks pregnant I started vomiting violently. Even after trying multiple different foods, vitamins, and techniques it was still getting worse. I was referred to Radiya by a few of my health practitioners and decided to try it out! I had heard that acupuncture was a great way to relieve nausea but I wasn’t sure if it would help. After going to Radiya for the first time I immediately stopped vomiting. I still had a little nausea here and there but nothing severe. The needles barely even prick you and don’t even hurt (and I have a fear of needles)! She also made me this wonderful herbal tincture for pregnancy that helped as much as the acupuncture! I am now in my 12th week of pregnancy and I only have vomited once because I hadn’t had my usual acupuncture treatment. The fact that I got worse without it goes to show just how much her treatments have really helped me cope through my first trimester! I would definitely recommend her to anyone with pregnancy symptoms, even just the little ones!
