Elecampagne, or Inula Helenium, is Simple, Spicy, Gentle, and Effective: an opener of the Lungs that contains Sesquiterpene Lactones. SLs are being researched for their immuno-regulatory, anti-pathogen, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer effects.
Known as Horse Heal for its history treating cutaneous diseases in horses, Elecampagne provides immediate relief for: asthma, bronchitis, chest inflammation/tightness, chronic cough, respiratory catarrh, and infections. It’s a good herb to keep around, especially in pandemic times. Usually combined with other herbs of similar action, but on it’s own it’s effective. It truly opens the heart/lung chakra and chest area.
Elecampagne is one of many powerful herbs that contain Sesquiterpene Lactones. It is important to note, however, that if you are allergic to ragweed, you may be allergic to SLs and herbs that contain them. If so, allergic dermatitis is a possible (but uncommon) side effect to watch out for.
